Contact the XH1B press desk, cite H-1B records, and export charts and data. Check reuse rights and download approved media assets.

## Contact & verification

Email tips@xh1b.org with the subject line Press. Press mail goes straight to the founder.

Ask us to verify a figure before publication. Include the page URL, the figure or chart, and your deadline. The general contact page lists the other channels.

## How to cite the record

Every entity page (employer, person, state, occupation) carries a Cite button in the page actions at the top. It generates APA, MLA, Chicago, and AP citations, plus a plain Source line. Click a style to copy it, then paste it into your article or notebook.

For an aggregate figure, cite the page you pulled it from and the date you accessed it. Each page carries a freshness indicator showing when the underlying data was last refreshed. The attribution name is XH1B Archive.

Counts change as new filings arrive. Keep the access date with the citation so readers can re-check the page.

## License & permitted use

The archive has two layers with different terms.

- U.S. government source records: Underlying U.S. government records (DOL OFLC, BLS, SEC, court filings, etc.) are in the U.S. public domain and carry no copyright restriction. Use them freely; no attribution is required for the underlying records.
- XH1B compilation and derived data: CC-BY-4.0. Entity resolution, wage-gap computations, the displacement model, and derived aggregates are licensed Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International. Reuse and remix them with attribution to XH1B Archive.

- [Terms: Intellectual Property](/legal/terms#grp-5)

## Charts & images

Every chart on this site ships a PNG download button and a CSV copy button in its top corner. Exported images carry the source page and the attribution line (XH1B Archive · CC-BY-4.0). Keep them attached when you publish the image.

## Media kit

Approved assets for publication. Each mark comes in two variants: use the light-background version on light pages and the dark-background version on dark pages. Use them as provided: do not recolor, distort, or add effects. Assets are part of the CC-BY-4.0 compilation; attribute XH1B Archive.

## Data export

The underlying source records (LCA filings, WARN notices, wage data) are available for direct download from the original government agencies. The Data Sources & Methodology page lists every dataset's provenance, coverage, and the official download link.

Every dataset is also served through a read-only API. The console at /api documents the sortable, paginated endpoints over employers, persons, geography, and the program records.
