What is an H-2A visa?

H-2A is a temporary work visa for seasonal agricultural jobs. It lets growers bring in foreign workers for farm work when U.S. workers are not available, under a DOL-certified labor application that names the job, season, offered wage, and worker count.

How is H-2A different from H-2B?

H-2A covers agricultural work; H-2B covers temporary non-agricultural work. H-2A employers must provide free housing and transportation between worksites; H-2B jobs carry their own prevailing-wage requirement but no housing duty.

What does the wage data on this page show?

This page compares the wages H-2A employers offered with BLS market medians for the same occupations, and estimates the gap for certified filings. It also ranks employers and worksite locations by the number of workers requested.
