DOL OFLC · temporary non-agricultural workers (landscaping, hospitality, construction, seafood), capped annually

H-2B lets employers bring foreign workers for temporary non-farm jobs when U.S. workers are not available. Congress caps the program at 66,000 visas a year plus supplemental releases. Each filing names the job, the season, the offered wage, and the workers requested; a filing is not a confirmed hire.
